In addition, our intelligence capability and military might cannot be replaced by any other regional ally when it comes to subduing ISIS-K in Afghanistan or Pakistan.\r\nLike in Syria, troop withdrawal should be based on conditions on the ground.\r\nThe conditions in Afghanistan  at the present moment  make American troop withdrawals a high risk strategy. If we continue on our present course we are setting in motion the loss of all our gains and paving the way toward a second 9/11.\r\n######\r\nBACKGROUND:\r\nhttps://www.wsj.com/articles/trump-administration-is-considering-substantial-afghan-troop-drawdown-11545341452?mod=hp_lead_pos1\r\nhttps://www.foxnews.com/politics/trump-plans-significant-drawdown-of-us-troops-in-afghanistan-senior-official-says", 1, "2026-03-30T12:14:52Z", "2026-03-30T12:14:52Z"]], "columns": ["url", "title", "date", "year", "month", "party", "chamber", "state", "member_name", "bioguide_id", "domain", "scraper", "source", "date_source", "text", "has_text", "collected_at", "updated_at"], "primary_keys": ["url"], "primary_key_values": ["https://www.lgraham.senate.gov/public/index.cfm/press-releases?ContentRecord_id=00655466-3CD8-4764-B602-5809F5C1A234"], "units": {}, "query_ms": 1.7161110881716013, "source": "dwillis/congress-press", "source_url": "https://github.com/dwillis/congress-press", "license": "MIT", "license_url": "https://github.com/dwillis/congress-press/blob/main/LICENSE"}
