Funding will be used to improve the hospital facility and water service to Cowen PSD customers.\r\n\u201cI\u2019m glad to see this investment in Highland-Clarksburg Hospital and Cowen Public Service District. Quality\u00a0healthcare facilities\u00a0and safe water infrastructure are important elements of our communities. As a member of the Senate Appropriations Committee, I will continue to fight for resources to improve our West Virginia communities,\u201d\u00a0Senator Manchin said.\r\n\u201cQuality health care facilities and public services are essential for West Virginia\u2019s rural communities,\u201d Senator Capito said. \u201cI am particularly thrilled that part of this funding will go toward improving facilities for those suffering from mental and behavioral health issues, including substance abuse disorders. I will continue to fight for programs that invest in the well-being of West Virginians.\u201d\r\nIndividual awards listed below:\r\n \r\n$325,000 \u2013 Highland-Clarksburg Hospital: This funding will go toward an outdoor recreation area for patients, as well as roof repairs. It is provided through the Community Facilities Direct Loan Program.\r\n \r\n \r\n$30,000 \u2013 Cowen Public Service District: This funding will go toward a study to identify and correct leaks in the PSD\u2019s system.
