Applications\r\nclose November 13th, 2020. Interested students can apply at www.ussenateyouth.org. The\r\nU.S. Senate Youth Program is an incredible program for bright young Americans\r\nand I encourage interested West Virginia high school juniors and seniors to\r\napply before November 13th. While this year's program will be\r\nvirtual due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the program will continue to provide the\r\nstudents with a unique educational experience as they learn about the inner\r\nworkings of the U.S. Senate. I look forward to meeting the students chosen to\r\nrepresent the Mountain State for this prestigious program and I wish good luck\r\nto all those who apply, said Senator Manchin. The\r\nupcoming program will be an immersive online learning experience incorporating\r\nthe key elements of the traditional program week in an exciting, interactive\r\nformat. Each delegate will also receive the $10,000 undergraduate college\r\nscholarship in the name of the United States Senate, with encouragement to\r\ncontinue coursework in history, government and political science. The mission\r\nof this 59-year-old Senate sponsored program is to encourage America's\r\nbrightest young leaders to pursue careers in public service.
