The funding will help the volunteer fire departments in Buffalo, Sherrard and Walton supply critically needed equipment, protective gear, emergency vehicles, training and other resources necessary to protect local communities.\r\n\u201cDay after day the dedicated volunteers at our local fire departments help protect our local communities in West Virginia,\u201d Senator Manchin said. \u201cAs a former volunteer for the Marion County volunteer rescue squad, I appreciate and understand their hard work and dedication first-hand.
