Remember, this was first released under an emergency use authorization under special circumstances. So, all we knew was just the few handful of people that they\u2019d given it to already. But certainly, this mRNA technology was brand new, so nobody really knew what some of the downsides were to this vaccination.\u201d\n\nOn whether doctors should have been recommending the COVID vaccine:\n\n\u201cYeah, well Trey, I think this is why I so value the patient-doctor relationship. That this vaccine \u2014 like any medicine, there\u2019s pros and cons, there\u2019s risk and benefits. So, it definitely saved millions of lives \u2014 for people over the age of, say, 65, people with a medical problem, there\u2019s no doubt that this vaccine saved lives. But for otherwise young, healthy people, there was minimal risk to the virus and only one downside. And I think that, especially we saw early on studies out of Israel saying that young, healthy men, especially, were having a reaction to this virus; it was causing some type of an inflammation of the heart. And that kind of takes us to pregnant women \u2014 we had no idea about pregnant women, that not one pregnant woman was in that emergency use authorization study as well, and especially in the first trimester, we had no idea.\u201d\n\nOn what Dr. Fauci\u2019s lies did to the reputation of medical experts:\n\n\u201cYeah, Trey, there\u2019s no doubt that he was drunk with power; he was drunk with his own celebrity status when all this was going on. And at the same time, he\u2019s covering up viral gain-of-function research, which he\u2019d been funding for 20 years. So, he was telling his diary one thing and telling the American people another thing. He was sending texts to the CDC director, to the Surgeon General, saying one thing, but then telling the American public something else. And to your point, all he had to say is, \u2018Look, we don\u2019t know, but you should ask your doctor, and he or she can talk with you about the benefits and the risk of this particular vaccine.\u2019 The advice I gave my parents was different than the advice I gave for my children and grandchildren, as you can imagine. But Fauci threw that all out the window. He says he is the science; you should trust him; he knows what\u2019s best for everybody.
