{"database": "press", "table": "releases", "rows": [["https://www.marshall.senate.gov/newsroom/press-releases/senator-marshall-touts-beef-labeling-bill-to-support-kansas-ranchers/", "Senator Marshall Touts Beef Labeling Bill to Support Kansas Ranchers", "2026-08-24", "2026", "2026-08", "Republican", "Senate", "KS", "Roger Marshall", "M001198", "www.marshall.senate.gov", "marshall", "https://www.marshall.senate.gov/newsroom/press-releases/", "scraper", "Great Bend \u2013 Earlier this year, U.S. Senator Roger Marshall, M.D. (R-Kansas), introduced the Beef Labeling Clarity Act, legislation to bring greater transparency to beef labeling, give consumers more information about where their beef comes from, and ensure American ranchers get the credit they deserve for raising the highest-quality beef in the world.\n\nSenator Marshall\u2019s legislation would require beef sold in the United States to carry clear labeling identifying where the animal was born, raised, slaughtered, and processed \u2014 giving consumers the information they need to make informed decisions at the grocery store while allowing American producers to distinguish their beef from foreign imports.\n\n\u201cKansas ranchers raise the best beef in the world, and consumers deserve to know where the beef they\u2019re buying comes from,\u201d said Senator Marshall. \u201cFor too long, foreign beef has been able to benefit from confusing labels that make it harder for families to know what they\u2019re actually putting in their grocery carts.
