Lt. Gen. Clapper\u2019s career in public service began as an officer in the United States Armed Forces. He has gone on to lead the Defense Intelligence Agency, the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency, and serve as Under Secretary of Defense for Intelligence.\u00a0As Director of National Intelligence, Lt. Gen. Clapper has served in a time he described as beset by more challenges and crises around the world than any time in his career. Through all of this, Lt. Gen.
