U.S. Senator Claire McCaskill, a former courtroom prosecutor of sex crimes and senior member of the Armed Services Committee released the following statement:\r\n\u201cPending the report\u2019s public release tomorrow, assuming news accounts are correct\u2014reporting of assaults being up and incidents of assault being down are exactly the combination we\u2019re looking for.
