Judge Amy\r\nConey Barrett is a highly qualified nominee, who I look forward to meeting with\r\nand evaluating in the upcoming weeks, McSally said. Judge Barrett is\r\nhighly esteemed in the legal community and has extensive judicial experience,\r\nincluding serving as a federal judge on the 7th Circuit Court of Appeals and\r\nclerking for Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia. She was confirmed to the 7th\r\nCircuit in a bipartisan vote in 2017. It is the President's duty to nominate\r\nSupreme Court justices and it is the Senate's duty to advise and consent based\r\non who will faithfully interpret our nation's laws and Constitution.
