Today I\r\nhad the honor of casting a historic vote to confirm Judge Amy Coney Barrett to\r\nthe Supreme Court,McSally said.As only the fifth woman to\r\nserve on our nation's highest court and the first with\r\nschool-agedchildren, soon-to-be Justice Barrett is continuing her trend\r\nof shattering barriers for women and girls. Her ascent to the top of her field\r\nin a male-dominated profession is an inspiration to all Americans and proves\r\nonce again that women deserve a seat at the table. Not\r\nonly this, but Judge Barrett willfaithfully interpret the Constitution\r\nand laws as written rather than legislate from the bench or impose her personal\r\npreferences on Americans. She has demonstrated unequivocally that she is a\r\nbrilliant, fair jurist who will bring a stellar judicial temperament to the\r\nbench.Judge Barrett's story is a great reminder that anyone in our\r\ncountry can grow up and achieve their dreams if they put in the time and work.\r\nAs someone who broke barriers myself, I look forward to seeing Judge Barrett\r\ntake her seat on the Supreme Court. \r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n###", 1, "2026-03-30T12:14:52Z", "2026-03-30T12:14:52Z"]], "columns": ["url", "title", "date", "year", "month", "party", "chamber", "state", "member_name", "bioguide_id", "domain", "scraper", "source", "date_source", "text", "has_text", "collected_at", "updated_at"], "primary_keys": ["url"], "primary_key_values": ["https://www.mcsally.senate.gov/news/press-releases/mcsally-votes-to-confirm-judge-barrett-to-the-supreme-court"], "units": {}, "query_ms": 1.7057941295206547, "source": "dwillis/congress-press", "source_url": "https://github.com/dwillis/congress-press", "license": "MIT", "license_url": "https://github.com/dwillis/congress-press/blob/main/LICENSE"}
