The grant will provide for 160 columbarium niches, landscaping and irrigation.\n\n\u201cThe Veterans\u2019 Cemetery at Fort Dodge serves over 6,000 veterans and their families, and I am pleased this new investment will help expand and improve the cemetery,\u201d said Sen. Moran. \u201cIt is important we provide Kansans and veterans a place to remember the sacrifices of our veterans and gives our veterans the respect and honor they deserve.\u201d\n\nThe Veterans Cemetery Grants Program was started in 1978 and has since provided over $1 billion to state, territorial and tribal cemeteries.
