Moran Announces $2 Million Federal Investment for Community Health Center of Southeast Kansas in Pittsburg", "2026-09-24", "2026", "2026-09", "Republican", "Senate", "KS", "Jerry Moran", "M000934", "www.moran.senate.gov", "moran", "https://www.moran.senate.gov/public/index.cfm/news-releases", "scraper", "WASHINGTON \u2013 U.S. Senator Jerry Moran (R-Kan.) \u2013 a member of the Senate Appropriations Subcommittee on Labor, Health and Human Services, Education, and Related Agencies \u2013 today announced a $2 million federal investment for the Community Health Center of Southeast Kansas in Pittsburg through the new Quality Improvement Fund - Improving Access to Dental Services for Children with Neurodevelopmental Disorders (QIF-DNDD) program, which is administered by the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA).\n\nThis federal investment will help to improve access to dental care for children with neurodevelopmental disorders, including autism spectrum disorder, Down syndrome, cerebral palsy and intellectual disabilities.\n\n\u201cAccess to quality health care services, including dental care, is essential to families in rural areas across Kansas,\u201d said Sen. Moran. \u201cParents of children with intellectual and developmental disabilities face challenges in obtaining necessary dental care for their children. This investment in the Community Health Center of Southeast Kansas, Pittsburg, will help make certain that these families can receive the services they need within their own communities.
