The resolution highlights the contributions and achievements of the nearly 4 million Americans with children, including our military-connected student parents, who attend postsecondary educational institutions while also caring for their families.\n\n\u201cBalancing classes and parenting requires patience and perseverance,\u201d said Sen. Moran. \u201cThis is especially true for many of our military-connected students who wear many hats \u2013 mom, dad, student, servicemember \u2013 as they work to earn a degree or professional certification while on active duty, transitioning back to civilian life, or while a spouse is deployed.\u201d\n\n\u201cStudent parents work hard every day \u2013 not only to build a better life for themselves, but also to pave the path to success for their children,\u201d said Sen. Carper. \u201cGoing to school and raising the next generation requires a great deal of energy, especially for military and veteran students.
