I\u2019m proud to be joined by my colleagues in leading this bipartisan bill to finally give the President the authority he needs to enact his America First agenda and protect America\u2019s industrial sector,\u201d said Senator Bernie Moreno.\n\n\u201cKeeping sensitive American land out of hands of our adversaries \u2013 like China, Iran, and North Korea \u2013 is a critical priority,\u201d said Senator Elissa Slotkin. \u201cWhile foreign investment in the U.S. can support economic development, it can also threaten our national security. To address that risk, this bipartisan bill builds on my work in the U.S. House and gives more authority to the Committee on Foreign Investment in the U.S. to examine a broader set of transactions.
