The aircraft is manufactured at the Sikorsky production\r\nplant in Stratford, Connecticut. I'm glad to see the federal\r\ngovernment recognize the hard work of the men and women at Sikorsky by awarding\r\nthis contract to produce more CH-53Ks. This award ensures that the United\r\nStates government is providing valuable, more cost-efficient equipment to our\r\nMarines and allies abroad, and it's a big win for Connecticut and U.S. national\r\nsecurity, said Murphy. This award is a victory for Connecticut, Sikorsky,\r\nand our workforce, said Blumenthal. It is also a testament to the\r\ntremendous skills and efficiency of the Stratford workers assembling this\r\naircraft who have made it more affordable. Adding six more CH-53K King Stallion\r\nhelicopters to the Marine fleet will strengthen our country's tactical\r\ncapabilities, while securing Sikorsky's presence in Connecticut for years to\r\ncome. As the leader in the fight that secured a guarantee\r\nfrom Lockheed Martin that headquarters will remain in Stratford until at least\r\n2032, I am thrilled to see this commitment bear fruit, said DeLauro.\r\nThe procurement of six new CH-53K helicopters signals a new era of technology\r\nfor our Marines and will help create jobs here at home.
