Texas: Health care was on the ballot this year, and the American people\r\nmade their voices heard loud and clear. It's outrageous that even after defeat,\r\nTrump is still brazenly moving forward with this continued assault on health\r\ncoverage for millions of families, said Murphy. I hope the Supreme Court understands the gravity\r\nof the decision they have to make. Dismantling the Affordable Care Act (ACA)\r\nwill end protections for 130 million Americans with pre-existing conditions\r\nduring a global health pandemic,\r\nincluding a million of my constituents in Connecticut. If Republicans get their\r\nway and the ACA is overturned by the court, it will be a humanitarian\r\ncatastrophe. Murphy has been an outspoken\r\ncritical of the Republican lawsuit to overturn the Affordable Care Act. Last\r\nmonth, Murphylauncheda\r\ncampaign to invite people across Connecticut to share their health care stories\r\nand describe how they would be impacted if the ACA is overturned. The\r\nAffordable Care Act made itillegalfor\r\ninsurance companies to deny coverage for the 133 million Americans with\r\npre-existing conditions.\r\nHealth experts warnthat, without the ACA, health insurers could classify COVID-19 as\r\na pre-existing condition and deny COVID-19 survivors health insuranceadding millions more peopleto the previously existing 133 million Americans with\r\npre-existing conditions. ###", 1, "2026-03-30T12:14:52Z", "2026-03-30T12:14:52Z"]], "columns": ["url", "title", "date", "year", "month", "party", "chamber", "state", "member_name", "bioguide_id", "domain", "scraper", "source", "date_source", "text", "has_text", "collected_at", "updated_at"], "primary_keys": ["url"], "primary_key_values": ["https://www.murphy.senate.gov/newsroom/press-releases/murphy-statement-ahead-of-oral-arguments-in-supreme-court-case-to-dismantle-the-aca"], "units": {}, "query_ms": 2.235796069726348, "source": "dwillis/congress-press", "source_url": "https://github.com/dwillis/congress-press", "license": "MIT", "license_url": "https://github.com/dwillis/congress-press/blob/main/LICENSE"}
