I reiterate my call to end this operation immediately, and to stop using troops and taxpayer dollars to fulfill what appears to be nothing more than the president's politically-motivated scheme.\r\n\r\nOn Monday, Senator Murray and Senator Brian Schatz (D-HI) urged Defense Secretary Mattis to send troops home this week, noting that the Department of Defense had thus far failed to demonstrate that asylum seekers pose a national security threat.
