The resolutions would halt the Environmental Protection Agency\u2019s (EPA) destructive implementation of the Clean Power Plan, which would require Kentucky to reduce its carbon emissions by 39 percent. Upon voting on the resolutions, Senator Paul released the following statement:\n\n\u201cProtecting Kentucky\u2019s coal miners and families from President Obama\u2019s overreach has always been a priority of mine, and I will continue fighting every day to stop the destruction of Kentucky coal,\u201d Sen.
