The legislation now heads to the President\u2019s desk for signature. Written by Representatives Pat Tiberi (OH-12) and Steve Stivers (OH-15), the legislation passed the U.S. House of Representatives earlier this year.\r\n\u201cOur men and women in uniform have freed people, secured the peace, and helped to make this nation the greatest the world has ever seen,\u201d said Portman. \u201cWe must never forget those who made the ultimate sacrifice, and I am proud that we can now pay a small tribute to honor these fallen heroes from Ohio with the renaming of U.S. Postal Service facilities.\u201d\r\n\u201cToday we are one step closer to honoring the legacy of Ohio service members who paid the ultimate sacrifice for our freedoms,\u201d said Brown. \u201cThe renaming of postal facilities in Dublin, Hilliard, and London is just a small way we can honor the service and sacrifice of four Ohio heroes. I urge President Obama to sign these bills immediately.\u201d\r\nH.R. 4919 will rename the United States Postal Service facility located at 715 Shawan Falls Drive in Dublin, Ohio, as the \u201cLance Corporal Wesley G. Davids and Captain Nicholas J. Rozanski Memorial Post Office\u201d in honor of United States Marine Wesley G. Davids and United States Army National Guardsman Nicholas J. Rozanski. Rep. Tiberi led the legislation which passed the House of Representatives earlier this year.\r\n\u201cFamily and friends certainly cherish their memories of Lance Corporal Wesley Davids and Captain Nicholas Rozanski and now they will be recognized in their community for their sacrifice,\u201d said Tiberi. \u201cI join my colleagues and a grateful nation in honoring them.\u201d\u00a0\r\nWesley G. Davids, a Marine Reservist with Lima Company, 3rd Battalion, 25th Marines, was killed on May 11, 2005 by a roadside bomb in Karabilah, Iraq. Davids was a 2003 graduate of Dublin Scioto High School.\r\nCaptain Nicholas Rozanski of the Ohio Army National Guard was killed in action in April 2012 while training Afghan security forces. Captain Rozanski was a graduate of Dublin Coffman High School and the Ohio State University.\r\nH.R. 1391 will rename the United States Postal Service facility located at 25 South Oak Street in London, Ohio, as the \u201cLondon Fallen Veterans Memorial Post Office\u201d in honor of the fallen veterans from the City of London and Madison County. Rep. Stivers (OH-sponsored the legislation in the U.S. House of Representatives which passed earlier this year.\r\nH.R. 4189 will rename the United States Postal Service facility located at 4000 Leap Road in Hilliard, Ohio, as the \u201cMaster Sergeant Shawn T. Hannon, Master Sergeant Jeffrey J. Rieck and Veterans Memorial Post Office Building\u201d in honor of Ohio Army National Guardsmen Master Sergeant Shawn Hannon and Master Sergeant Jeffrey Rieck. The bill is also sponsored by Rep. Stivers and passed earlier this year.\r\n\u201cThis is a small measure our nation can take to honor the lives\u2019 of brave service members who gave the ultimate sacrifice for our freedoms,\u201d Stivers said. \u201cThese men and women deserve to be properly honored for their courageous service and I thank God every day that heroes like these stand on the front lines and protect our freedom.\u201d\r\nMaster Sergeant Shawn Hannon of Grove City, Ohio, lost his life on April 4, 2012, while deployed to Afghanistan for Operation Enduring Freedom. He served in the Ohio National Guard.\r\nMaster Sergeant Jeffrey Rieck served in the Ohio Army National Guard until he too lost his life on April 4, 2012, while deployed to Afghanistan.
