White House Deputy Chief of Staff Stephen Miller, who previously proclaimed Americans \u201care living under a judicial tyranny,\u201d recently declared that a Trump-appointed judge is guilty of \u2018legal insurrection\u2019 for issuing a temporary restraining order against Trump\u2019s deployment of National Guard troops to Portland, Oregon.\n\nToday, U.S. Senator Jack Reed (D-RI) warned that there must be bipartisan condemnation of such irresponsible rhetorical attacks on judges.\n\nReed stated:\n\n\u201cMr. Miller\u2019s rising hostility toward federal judges is beyond the pale and should be troubling to all. The Trump Administration\u2019s pattern of intimidation toward those who show any legal restraint against executive overreach endangers individuals and the rule of law itself.
