Matt Miltenberger is departing for the private sector after 10 years as Ricketts\u2019 Chief of Staff. Amelia Breinig has been promoted to Chief of Staff. Daniel Yarbrough has joined the team as Legislative Director.\n\n\u201cMatt Miltenberger has been an exceptional Chief of Staff, trusted advisor, and friend for over a decade,\u201d said Senator Ricketts. \u201cFrom navigating a global pandemic in the governor\u2019s office to managing my transition to the U.S. Senate, Matt has been an essential part of my work fighting for Nebraskans. Breinig worked on trade issues in the Office of the U.S. Trade Representative during the first Trump administration. She also served as Deputy Director of the Nebraska Department of Agriculture under then-Governor Pete Ricketts, helping to oversee agency operations, legislative affairs and agriculture promotion and development for the State of Nebraska. Prior to joining Senator Ricketts\u2019 team earlier this year as Deputy Chief of Staff, Breinig worked in the private sector for Merck Sharpe & Dohme focusing on federal and multilateral affairs. She has a B.A. in broadcast journalism from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and an MBA from the University of Minnesota.
