In his response, Senator Scott highlights his push to deliver those solutions with his More Affordable Care Act that will put families \u2014 not insurance companies or Washington bureaucrats \u2014 back in control of their health care by empowering patients with their decisions, increasing transparency in health care, and driving down costs.\n\nIn the letter, Senator Scott wrote, \u201cIt\u2019s heartbreaking to see Floridians struggle to afford health care\u2026Growing up, my family was poor. My mother drove hours to the nearest charity hospital so my brother, who had a hip disease, could receive care. It shouldn\u2019t be this hard for Americans to get health care that\u2019s affordable and works for them. I want to fix that.\n\n\u2026\n\n\u201cDemocrats created Obamacare, but Republicans must fix it. If we don\u2019t, we\u2019re just rubber-stamping what we all acknowledge is a broken system full of broken promises.
