{"database": "press", "table": "releases", "rows": [["https://www.risch.senate.gov/public/index.cfm/2017/9/judiciary-committee-sends-davis-nomination-to-full-senate", "Risch, Crapo Praise Davis' Nomination Being Sent to Full Senate", "2017-09-07", "2017", "2017-09", "Republican", "House", "ID", "Jim Risch", "R000584", "www.risch.senate.gov", null, null, "legacy", "WASHINGTON \u2013 The nomination of Idaho State Senator Bart Davis to serve as Idaho\u2019s next United States Attorney has been sent to the full Senate for consideration.\u00a0 This morning, the Senate Judiciary Committee approved the nomination of Senator Davis by a voice-vote.\u00a0 While a confirmation vote for the nomination has yet to be scheduled, U.S. Senators Mike Crapo and Jim Risch will be working with their colleagues to ensure a swift nomination.\u00a0 Following today\u2019s Judiciary Committee meeting, both Senators Crapo and Risch made the following statements:\u00a0\r\n\r\n\u201cI congratulate Senator Davis on his nomination to be United States Attorney for the District of Idaho,\u201d said Crapo, a member of the Senate Judiciary Committee which has jurisdiction over Senator Davis\u2019 nomination.\u00a0 \u201cWith his extensive legal background and experience in public service, Senator Davis embodies the sound legal judgement required to uphold the law while justly prosecuting those charged with crimes.\u00a0 Senator Davis has demonstrated his legal scholarship throughout his long and distinguished career as an attorney in private practice.\u00a0 Further, he has an established history as a committed public servant, having spent nearly 20 years as a member of the Idaho State Senate.\u00a0 I strongly endorse Senator Davis\u2019 nomination and welcome the committee\u2019s approval. \u201c\r\n\r\n\"I was glad to see Bart Davis\u2019 nomination to become Idaho's next U.S. Attorney advance today,\" said Risch. \"Senator Davis is a committed public servant who has my full confidence.
