Today, U.S. Senator Pat Roberts (R-Kan.) applauded Kansan Chuck Stones' unanimous Senate confirmation to the Board of Directors of the Federal Agricultural Mortgage Corporation (Farmer Mac).\r\nCongratulations to my friend Chuck on this honor. With his 30+ years of experience in agricultural lending policy, Chuck is beyond qualified for this position and will be able to hit the ground running in the new year, said Sen. Roberts.\r\nStones retired as the President of the Kansas Bankers Association (KBA) in 2019 after 33 years. During his time at KBA, Stones worked in government relations and agricultural credit policy.\r\nA 1978 graduate of Washburn University, Stones lives in Topeka.\r\nFarmer Mac is the nation's premier secondary market for agricultural credit.
