Ron Johnson (R-Wis.), ranking member of the Permanent Subcommittee on Investigations, sent a letter to Defense Health Agency Director Lieutenant General Ronald Place requesting detailed information about claims filed on Tricare, a military healthcare program, for active duty service members related to COVID-19 and potential COVID-19 vaccine injuries.\n\n\u201cAlthough the Biden Administration\u2019s COVID-19 vaccine mandate for the military will end with the signing of the Fiscal Year 2023 National Defense Authorization Act, my efforts to uncover and expose the vaccines\u2019 harmful effect on our service members will continue. The brave men and women who serve our country deserve to know the truth about the short and long-term health effects these mandated vaccines will have on the rest of their lives,\u201d the senator wrote.\n\nSen. Johnson has heard from many whistleblowers \u2014 including service members \u2014 raising concerns about the safety and efficacy of the COVID-19 vaccines. He has led multiple roundtables addressing pandemic response failures and has written over 45 public letters to federal health agencies demanding transparency about the COVID-19 vaccines. Last week, Sen. Johnson offered an amendment to the National Defense Authorization Act that would have provided additional protections for service members who were negatively impacted by the Department of Defense\u2019s pointless and harmful COVID-19 vaccine policy.\n\nSen. Place:\n\nOver the last year, I have heard from countless individuals across the country who have suffered life-altering injuries after receiving COVID-19 vaccines. My office has also been in contact with many men and woman of the U.S. military who have shared their concerns about the Department of Defense\u2019s (DoD) pointless and harmful COVID-19 vaccine policy. In an effort to inform the public of the potential harm caused by these vaccines, I held three roundtables on this topic and have sent multiple letters to federal health agencies\u2014including DoD\u2014requesting information on vaccine safety and efficacy.[1] Unfortunately, despite the unprecedented number of adverse events and deaths associated with the COVID-19 vaccines on the Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System, this administration has failed to provide full and transparent information on vaccine safety to Congress and to the public.\n\nAlthough the Biden Administration\u2019s COVID-19 vaccine mandate for the military will end with the signing of the Fiscal Year 2023 National Defense Authorization Act, my efforts to uncover and expose the vaccines\u2019 harmful effect on our service members will continue. The brave men and women who serve our country deserve to know the truth about the short and long-term health effects these mandated vaccines will have on the rest of their lives.\n\nAs part of my effort to uncover the truth, I request the following information from Tricare for active duty service members:\n\nFrom January 1, 2017 \u2013 present, please provide the following annual data:\n\nTotal number of claims filed; and\n\nTotal number of hospitalization claims filed.\n\nFrom January 1, 2020 \u2013 present, please provide the following annual data:\n\nTotal number of claims filed relating to a COVID-19 diagnosis;\n\nOf those claims, please provide the number of:\n\ni. Hospitalizations;\n\nii. Remdesivir treatments;\n\niii. Ventilator usages;\n\niv. Treatments with no hospitalizations;\n\nv. No treatments and no hospitalizations; and\n\nvi. Deaths.\n\nFrom January 1, 2017 \u2013 present, please provide data by year for the number of claims filed relating to the following diagnoses:\n\nBreast cancer;\n\nDemyelinating;\n\nFemale infertility;\n\nGuillain-Barre syndrome;\n\nHypertension;\n\nMalignant neoplasms of esophagus;\n\nMalignant neoplasms of digestive organs;\n\nMalignant neoplasms of thyroid and other endocrine glands;\n\nMigraines;\n\nMultiple sclerosis;\n\nMyocarditis;\n\nPericarditis;\n\nPulmonary embolism;\n\nOvarian dysfunction;\n\nTachycardia; and\n\nTesticular cancer.\n\nPlease provide the number of service members who received at least one shot of the COVID-19 vaccine.\n\nOf those individuals, please provide a monthly breakdown of the number of claims filed between January 1, 2020 \u2013 present for each diagnoses listed above.\n\nPlease provide the total number of deaths that occurred in days 0 through 7 after a service member received at least one shot of the COVID-19 vaccine.\n\nOf those individuals that died in days 0 through 7 after receipt of a COVID-19 vaccine:\n\ni. How many had a preexisting medical condition?\n\nii. What were the official causes of death?\n\nPlease provide this information as soon as possible but no later than January 9, 2023.
