Mr. Talwar has been nominated to be Assistant Secretary of State for Political Military Affairs. Prior to his nomination, he has served the past four years on the National Security Staff as one of President Obama\u2019s key Iran advisors.\r\n   \r\nDuring the course of the exchange, Talwar validated Rubio\u2019s belief that the Iranian regime is solely driven by its desire for sanctions relief in exchange for making no irreversible changes to its nuclear weapons program. In addition, Talwar admitted that the Iranian regime\u2019s abysmal human rights and ongoing support for terrorism were completely ignored during the course of secret negotiations between the Obama Administration and the Iranian regime.
