Today,U.S. Senator Marco Rubio (R-FL) welcomed the House of Representative's passage of a six month extension of the National Flood Insurance Program. Last month, Senators Rubio and John Kennedy (R-LA) introduced legislation in the Senate to extend the program.Extending the NFIP for six months is good news for millions of Floridians. Congress must now use this time to come to a bipartisan and bicameral consensus that ensures the program is affordable and sustainable.
