Osete, currently the Principal Deputy Assistant Attorney General for the Department of Justice\u2019s Civil Rights Division, served as Deputy Solicitor General during Schmitt\u2019s tenure as Missouri Attorney General and is the seventh judicial nomination from the state, among the most in the nation under President Trump\u2019s second term. Six out of the seven nominees served in the Missouri Attorney General\u2019s Office under Schmitt.\n\n\u201cJesus has dedicated his career to public service, and I am confident he will do a fantastic job as a judge in Missouri\u2019s Western District.
