The legislation includes the Senator\u2019s School Choice Now Act, as well as a Scott provision doubling the charitable tax deduction to encourage giving through the end of 2020.\n\n\u201cSince the pandemic began, I have worked to find solutions on the health care, jobs, and education fronts,\u201d Scott said. \u201cThe legislation I voted for today would accomplish all three of those goals, including a historic improvement to our nation\u2019s educational systems through the School Choice Now Act. It also includes a critical provision to double the charitable tax deduction, which will help non-profits and community groups continue the amazing work they do helping those in need. Unfortunately, as they have multiple times this year, Senate Democrats have stymied critical legislation \u2013 be it the initial CARES Act, police reform or a host of other important issues \u2013 putting their political dreams ahead of the American people.
