This temporary funding bill had no input from Democrats, and I\u2019ve said repeatedly, if you want my vote, you have to come talk to me.\n\n\u201cSince July, I have been very clear: any conversation about my vote needs to start with health care. President Trump\u2019s \u2018Big, Beautiful Bill\u2019 will result in every single Michigander either losing their health care or paying more than they already have.\n\n\u201cLetters from insurance companies have started going out to Michiganders with a 10-20 percent increase in their health care bills starting January 1. And it is my responsibility to at least push for these costs to be addressed.\n\n\u201cRepublicans control the White House, Senate, and the House, so I understand that negotiations won\u2019t yield everything I want. But serious adults can sit down, negotiate in good faith and pass a budget.\n\n\u201cThe President has shown time and again that he thinks he can do whatever he wants, in violation of the Constitution.
