Read more about the bill here.\n\nThis press conference comes after Trump has hinted, at various times, that he\u2019s willing to undermine our election process. Slotkin has repeatedly asked Trump nominees, from Secretary Hegseth on down about illegal orders, and sending troops to polling places. She also explicitly questioned Department of Homeland Security Secretary Markwayne Mullin about sending ICE to the polls. Last December, she pressed Department of Defense officials on the issue in a Senate Armed Services Committee (SASC) and pressed the NORTHCOM commander to confirm as well.\n\nWatch the speech here.\n\nDownload the speech here.\n\nDownload transcript here\n\n###", 1, "2026-06-19T06:50:32Z", "2026-06-19T06:53:40Z"]], "columns": ["url", "title", "date", "year", "month", "party", "chamber", "state", "member_name", "bioguide_id", "domain", "scraper", "source", "date_source", "text", "has_text", "collected_at", "updated_at"], "primary_keys": ["url"], "primary_key_values": ["https://www.slotkin.senate.gov/2026/06/18/icymi-slotkin-press-conference-on-bill-to-stop-trump-from-deploying-military-to-interfere-in-elections/"], "units": {}, "query_ms": 2.6558376848697662, "source": "dwillis/congress-press", "source_url": "https://github.com/dwillis/congress-press", "license": "MIT", "license_url": "https://github.com/dwillis/congress-press/blob/main/LICENSE"}
