This grant will help the Chippewa Cree Tribe make that goal a reality for families, and will give more folks in Indian Country a safe, affordable place to live.\nThe grant was awarded under the Native American Housing Assistance and Self-Determination Act of 1996.\nTester has long supported the development of affordable housing in Indian Country. Earlier this year, he secured more than $26 million to bolster affordable housing on Montana's seven reservations, and he introduced the Tribal HUD-VASH Act this Congress, which passed the Senate in February, to formally codify Tribal HUD-VASH, providing rental and housing assistance to homeless and at-risk homeless veterans in Indian Country.", 1, "2026-03-30T12:14:52Z", "2026-03-30T12:14:52Z"]], "columns": ["url", "title", "date", "year", "month", "party", "chamber", "state", "member_name", "bioguide_id", "domain", "scraper", "source", "date_source", "text", "has_text", "collected_at", "updated_at"], "primary_keys": ["url"], "primary_key_values": ["https://www.tester.senate.gov/?p=press_release&id=7132"], "units": {}, "query_ms": 1.366984099149704, "source": "dwillis/congress-press", "source_url": "https://github.com/dwillis/congress-press", "license": "MIT", "license_url": "https://github.com/dwillis/congress-press/blob/main/LICENSE"}
