The administration\u2019s continued push for EVs threatens to hurt everyday Americans and costs auto workers their jobs while simultaneously helping China dominate the EV supply chain.\n\n\u201cThe EPA has no business dictating what cars Americans can purchase with their hard-earned money,\u201d said Senator Tillis. \u201cThis legislation fights against the Biden Administration\u2019s radical green agenda, protects consumers from executive overreach, and promotes American production and innovation.\u201d\n\nSpecifically, The Choice in Automobile Retail Sales (CARS) Act:\n\nProhibits the EPA from finalizing, implementing, or enforcing its proposed emissions rule;\n\nProhibits the use of authority under the Clean Air Act to issue regulations that mandate the use of any specific technology or limit the availability of new motor vehicles based on that vehicle\u2019s engine type.
