Sen. Tuberville began this series in 2023 to show his appreciation for Alabama veterans for their service to our military and Alabama\u2019s local communities.\n\nSen. Tuberville recognizes a different Alabama veteran each month for their service and contribution to their community. Nominations are now being accepted for the 2026 \u201cVeteran of the Month\u201d series.\n\n\u201cAlabama is home to more than 400,000 veterans who bravely answered the call to defend our country,\u201d said Sen. Tuberville. \u201cEven though they\u2019re no longer in uniform, they still serve our local communities in remarkable ways. I\u2019ve enjoyed listening to the unique ways that Alabama\u2019s veterans are giving back to their communities. Their efforts make our state a better place to call home.
