Brown\u2019s replacement will be voted on today in the Senate Committee on Commerce, Science and Transportation despite pending litigation on the legality of Mr. Brown\u2019s firing.\n\n\u201cWe rely on our federal aviation regulators to keep millions of Georgians safe during air travel,\u201d said Senator Reverend Warnock. \u201cI\u2019m deeply troubled by the illegal firing of Brown. Americans feel confident boarding flights every day in part because of the independent work of the NTSB safety investigators. The President\u2019s move to replace board members without cause undermines the board\u2019s ability to investigate transportation accidents like the DCA crash and ensure these kinds of tragedies never happen again.\u201d\n\nThe President also fired Robert Primus from the U.S. Surface Transportation Board without cause.
