Maybe you can meet the Jesus I know.\u201d\n\nWashington, D.C. \u2013 U.S. Senator Reverend Raphael Warnock (D-GA) responded to President Trump\u2019s attack on Truth Social following his interview on Meet the Press where the Senator discussed his recent address at the Center for American Progress on healing America\u2019s spiritual crisis by restoring economic opportunity for millions of Americans.\n\nAn excerpt of the President\u2019s Truth Social attack\n\n\u201cSo, Donald Trump just attacked me on Truth Social, claiming that I\u2019m using faith to divide people. He\u2019s got a lot of nerve. Mr. President, my faith is not a weapon, it\u2019s a bridge, and I invite you to Bible study. Maybe you can meet the Jesus I know. That Bible says that Jesus came to preach good news to the poor. He came to heal the sick. He never billed them for his services. He stood up for the weak, the marginalized, average, ordinary people.\n\nMr. President, my faith is not a weapon, it\u2019s a bridge, and I invite you to Bible study.
