This bill will support women and families while ensuring taxpayer dollars are not used to fund abortions,\u201d said Senator Young.\n\n\u201cIn the face of Democrats\u2019 radical abortion on demand, I am proud to provide women greater access to safe and effective birth control,\u201d said Senator Ernst. \u201cMy bill will increase over-the-counter contraception options while bringing much-needed transparency and accountability to ensure the government uses tax dollars to support families.\u201d\n\nMore specifically, the Allowing Greater Access to Safe and Effective Contraception Act would:\n\nIncrease availability of birth control options on the market;\n\nProvide more access to over-the-counter contraception options;\n\nBring transparency to how government agencies are spending tax dollars to support women and families; and\n\nEnsure tax dollars are not being used to fund abortions or abortion providers.\n\nIn addition to Senators Young and Ernst, Senators Shelley Moore Capito (R-W.
