After receiving their nominations, the applicants must now meet the requirements of each U.S. Service Academy to be considered for appointment. Ultimately, the Academies make the final decision on who receives an appointment of admission.\u00a0\n\u201cIt\u2019s an honor and a privilege to announce the nomination of 30 remarkable Kansans from the Third Congressional District to a United States Service Academy,\u201d Rep. Yoder said. \u201cEach man and woman nominated today represents distinguished character, scholarship, leadership, and service. I\u2019m proud that these students are the future leaders of our country, and I wish them the best of luck as they seek an appointment to a U.S. Service Academy.
