Adams (NC-12) continued her Made in the 12th District Tour with Mayor Jennifer Roberts and Councilwoman LaWana Mayfield by hosting a roundtable with local manufacturers.\u00a0 The roundtable brought together employers and workforce development trainers to discuss issues impacting the manufacturing sector-which is one of North Carolina\u2019s largest industries.\nParticipating companies included Siemens Energy, Inc., Snyder\u2019s-Lance, Inc., Bosch Rexroth, Charlotte Works, and participants from Central Piedmont Community College.\n\u201cToday\u2019s roundtable was a crucial first step in bringing together key stakeholders to address the skills gap that\u2019s affecting the manufacturing industry,\u201d said Congresswoman Adams. \u201cAdvanced manufacturing is now a leading industry in the state, that is why my top priority is ensuring that local manufactures are able to continue growing and offering good paying jobs and that our people are trained to fill.\u201d\n\u201cI am grateful that Congresswoman Adams is committed to helping Charlotte workers prepare for jobs in the 21st Century.
