Carlisle will relinquish command of Pacific Air Forces to General Lori J. Robinson, the first female general to head the Air Force in the Pacific and the first non-pilot to command air power in such a large theater of operation. The congresswoman will host an Employment Resources Roundtable meeting with leaders from the 25th Infantry Division, U.S. Department of Labor, Hawai\u02bbi Department of Labor and Industrial Relations, U.S. Veterans Initiative, and select regional businesses that focus on career opportunities for transitioning military members.\u00a0 The group will address routine attrition, impending downsizing, and how existing community resources can be connected to the active duty military community and veterans seeking employment. Rep. Gabbard will also deliver keynote remarks at the first-ever Kaua\u02bbi Women Veterans Conference, the 239th Navy Birthday Ball hosted by the United States Pacific Fleet, the Pacific Islands Women in Leadership seminar, and the Aloha Shriners Club banquet.
