Chris Smith (R-NJ) with lead Democratic cosponsor, Rep. Tom Suozzi (D-NY) in the House. Smith and Suozzi will address members of the Subcommittee as the lead witnesses on a panel. The subcommittee is chaired by Rep. Eleanor Holmes Norton (D-DC).  \r\n\r\nSami's Law will require enhanced vehicle identification procedures to create a safer environment for ride-share drivers and customers and to make it harder for those with ill intent from impersonating drivers.  \r\n\r\n\r\nWHAT:  Congressional hearing on Sami's Law held by the House Subcommittee on Highways and Transit, part of the House Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure\r\nWHO:  Reps.
