The President and Congressman Cleaver will travel to the Ford Kansas City Stamping Plant in Liberty, where the President will continue to highlight economic progress throughout the country.\n\u201cCreating and keeping jobs in my district and throughout the state continues to be priority number one,\u201d said Congressman Emanuel Cleaver, II. \u201cI am pleased to have some time with the President to talk directly with him about the achievements we are making in Missouri in the automotive industry, the need for continued investment, and the importance of recognizing hard work on the part of so many in our area.\u201d\nThe President will tour the plant and deliver remarks to Ford employees.\u00a0 The event is open to pre-credentialed media and closed to the public. Remarks are scheduled to begin around 12:45 PM.\nCongressman Cleaver will return to Washington on Air Force One with the President following those remarks.\u00a0\nEmanuel Cleaver, II is the U.S. Representative for Missouri\u2019s Fifth Congressional District, which includes Kansas City, Independence, Lee's Summit, Raytown, Grandview, Sugar Creek, Blue Springs, Grain Valley, Oak Grove, North Kansas City, Gladstone, Claycomo, and all of Ray, Lafayette, and Saline Counties.
