Cuellar Announces Beginning of Open Enrollment Period for Health Insurance on Nov. 15th", "2014-11-14", "2014", "2014-11", "Democrat", "House", "TX", "Henry Cuellar", "C001063", "cuellar.house.gov", null, null, "legacy", "Congressman Henry Cuellar (D-TX28) announced today that this year\u2019s open enrollment period for health insurance will begin this Saturday, November 15th.\u00a0 Residents of Webb County who do not have health insurance can sign up between November 15th and February 15th.\u00a0 Those residents seeking health coverage starting in 2015 must enroll in a plan by December 15th.\u00a0\u00a0\r\n\u201cMillions of people across the country and in Texas have already enrolled in health insurance,\u201d said Congressman Cuellar.\u00a0 \u201cOur communities in South Texas and on the border have among the lowest rates of health insurance coverage in the country as well as some of the highest rates of heart disease, diabetes, cancer, and other issues.\u00a0 Having health insurance means peace of mind not just for you but for those who depend on you \u2013 children, parents, and grandparents.
