This funding includes a $4,561,868 grant from the Federal Aviation Administration that Rep. Duffy's office\u00a0helped\u00a0secure. This project will include the addition of\u00a0state-of-the-art navigational equipmentas well as a full-length parallel taxiway to the primary runway.\u00a0Rep. Duffy\u00a0offered the following comments:\u201cI am excited about\u00a0these upgrades for\u00a0Sawyer County.\u00a0These modernizations will provide\u00a0greater opportunities for businesses in Hayward and nearby communities.\u00a0Additionally, it will\u00a0ensure\u00a0critical air transport services at Hayward Memorial Hospital \u2013 even in the worst of weather. This is a great partnership between all levels of government.
