Gosar Votes to Boost Pipeline Construction and Job Creation \r\r Today, U.S. Congressman Paul A. Gosar, D.D.S. (AZ-04) voted in favor of the Natural Gas Pipeline Permitting Reform Act (H.R.1900), bipartisan legislation that expedites the federal review process for natural gas pipeline permitting. The House of Representatives passed H.R.1900 by a vote of 252-165. After the vote, Rep. Gosar said, “Our national economic recovery is threatened by excessive regulation, unnecessary red-tape and a bloated bureaucracy. This bill will ease permitting delays for natural gas pipelines, which will not only mitigate a potential shortage of gas-based electricity but will also create much-needed private-sector jobs. With so many families struggling to find work, we can’t afford to continue to let government get in the way of job creation.” BACKGROUND: \r\r As natural gas gains a greater market share of the nation’s electricity portfolio, pipeline infrastructure has failed to keep pace with the increased production. Consequently, several regions of the country are facing a shortage of pipeline capacity to support increased gas-electric generation. Unnecessary delay and red-tape from a variety of federal agencies are being used to delay and stop new pipelines. H.R.1900 seeks to alleviate this problem by establishing firm timelines for the review of natural gas pipeline permit applications.\r\r### \r\r

      f
      t
      #
      e", 1, "2026-03-30T12:14:52Z", "2026-03-30T12:14:52Z
url", "title", "date", "year", "month", "party", "chamber", "state", "member_name", "bioguide_id", "domain", "scraper", "source", "date_source", "text", "has_text", "collected_at", "updated_at
url
http://gosar.house.gov/press-release/rep-gosar-votes-boost-pipeline-construction-and-job-creation
