To recognize the efforts of small businesses in Maryland\u2019s First Congressional District, Congressman Harris is creating an \u201cEntrepreneur Certificate\u201d that will be presented to businesses that are making positive contributions to their community. Throughout the week, Congressman Harris asked people in the first district to share with him businesses that they believe deserve recognition.\n\u201cEvery day we should be celebrating the dreamers and doers who make the American economy strong,\u201d said Harris. \u201cThis week, especially, we recognize the contributions small businesses make to this country. We must champion their hard work, dedication, and sacrifice because these entrepreneurs are the lifeblood of our economy.\n\u201cIn these tough economic times, Washington needs to be supporting small businesses now more than ever by advancing pro-growth policies that help \u2013 not hurt \u2013 these job creators grow and hire new workers.
