While some may wish to paint a rosy picture of Communism and this dictator\u2019s leadership, any account that ignores his bloody atrocities and human rights abuses, economic persecution, and support for terrorism abroad does no justice to the survivors and victims of his legacy. It is important that history reflect how evil of a man Fidel Castro was and for us to remember that the Cuban people are a very long way from being truly free. The Cuban people deserve actual freedom from the Castro family\u2019s oppression, and the United States has a responsibility to be a better friend and ally in helping the Cuban people in their pursuit of liberty and justice.
