{"database": "press", "table": "releases", "rows": [["http://kuster.house.gov/media-center/press-releases/kuster-announces-161670-northern-border-regional-commission-grant-to-the", "Kuster Announces $161,670 Northern Border Regional Commission Grant to the Womens Rural Entrepreneurial Network in Berlin", "2014-09-19", "2014", "2014-09", "Democrat", "House", "NH", "Ann Kuster", "K000382", "kuster.house.gov", null, null, "legacy", "BERLIN, N.H. \u2013 Representative Annie Kuster (NH-02) today announced that the Women\u2019s Rural Entrepreneurial Network (WREN) has received a $161,670 grant from the Northern Border Regional Commission.\u00a0 WREN will use the funding to purchase a building that will house office space, an entrepreneurial training center, and \u201cmaker space.\u201d\u00a0\u00a0\n\u201cThe Women\u2019s Rural Entrepreneurial Network is doing excellent work helping North Country women business owners expand their businesses,\u201d said Congresswoman Kuster.\u00a0 \u201cThis grant will help WREN continue to support Granite Staters who are driving their local economies forward.\u00a0 I congratulate WREN on this grant award and thank them for all of their work on behalf New Hampshire women.\u201d\nIn April, Congresswoman Kuster held a Women\u2019s Business Leadership roundtable discussion at WREN about the issues facing women professionals across the Granite State.\u00a0 She met with a diverse group of female business leaders who discussed the Congresswoman\u2019s recently released Women\u2019s Economic Agenda. Participants shared their own personal experiences with some of the issues outlined in Kuster\u2019s Agenda, including pay equity, family leave time, and access to capital. In addition to this grant award to WREN, the Northern Border Regional Commission also awarded the following grants:\n A $250,000 grant to the Town of Littleton for the\u00a0construction of a multi-use bridge as part of Littleton's\u00a0Downtown project.\n\t\t\u00a0\n\tA $250,000 grant to the Coos Economic Development Council for a cell tower on Cummings Mountain.\n\t\t\u00a0\n\tA $200,000\u00a0grant to the Northern Community Investment Corporation for the improvement of the NH Grand website project.\n\t\t\u00a0\n\tA $106,695 grant to the\u00a0University of New Hampshire, to expand the broadband mapping program in Coos County.\n The Northern Border Regional Commission was established to support and promote economic growth projects within the northern portions of the four\u2010state region of Maine, New Hampshire, New York, and Vermont.\n###", 1, "2026-03-30T12:14:52Z", "2026-03-30T12:14:52Z"]], "columns": ["url", "title", "date", "year", "month", "party", "chamber", "state", "member_name", "bioguide_id", "domain", "scraper", "source", "date_source", "text", "has_text", "collected_at", "updated_at"], "primary_keys": ["url"], "primary_key_values": ["http://kuster.house.gov/media-center/press-releases/kuster-announces-161670-northern-border-regional-commission-grant-to-the"], "units": {}, "query_ms": 0.8714450523257256, "source": "dwillis/congress-press", "source_url": "https://github.com/dwillis/congress-press", "license": "MIT", "license_url": "https://github.com/dwillis/congress-press/blob/main/LICENSE"}
