Farmers in each of these counties are now eligible to apply for certain disaster assistance loans through USDA\u2019s Farm Service Agency (FSA).\n\u201cFollowing a harsh winter that took a toll on New Hampshire\u2019s small farmers, these natural disaster designations and the accompanying assistance programs will provide the agricultural community much-needed resources and support,\u201d said Congresswoman Kuster.\u00a0 \u201cRural communities across the Granite State will benefit from this assistance, which will help farmers to rebuild operations that were damaged by natural disasters. I encourage farmers who have been affected by extreme weather to contact the FSA and apply for these critical benefits.\u201d\nThe FSA\u2019s relief programs include emergency relief loans. Farmers have eight months from the disaster declaration to submit applications. FSA will consider each application individually, based on the extent of production losses and the repayment ability of the farmer.
