The multifaceted project will eventually include housing, outdoor recreation, restaurants, and art spaces, among several other businesses and facilities. Over the last few months, Kuster has worked with local developers and community leaders to connect them with federal funding sources to help cover the costs for these projects.\nSince I took office, I have made economic development and job creation one of my top priorities, and I am committed to supporting projects like this across New Hampshire, said Congresswoman Annie Kuster. I have been a strong supporter of federal funding for infrastructure and redevelopment projects in New Hampshire and across the country. Todays visit gave me the opportunity to get an update from the impressive group behind the project, and I look forward to continuing to work together to make it a reality.\nThe project was first started in 2013 by local businessman Todd Workman, who has partnered with the City of Franklin, other downtown property owners, and Colby Sawyer College. In addition to Workman, Kuster was joined for todays tour by Franklin Mayor Ken Merrifield, Director at Sustainability at Colby Sawyer Jennifer White, CATCH Neighborhood Housing President Rosemary Heard, Franklin Savings Bank CEO Jeff Savage, Outdoor New England CEO Marty Parichand, USDA Rural Development NH Director Gregg MacPhearson, and several other participants.\nCATCH Neighborhood Housing recently announced a partnership with the group to invest $10 million to convert a historic mill building into 45 units of affordable housing. The project is expected to be completed in the fall of 2017.\n###", 1, "2026-03-30T12:14:52Z", "2026-03-30T12:14:52Z"]], "columns": ["url", "title", "date", "year", "month", "party", "chamber", "state", "member_name", "bioguide_id", "domain", "scraper", "source", "date_source", "text", "has_text", "collected_at", "updated_at"], "primary_keys": ["url"], "primary_key_values": ["http://kuster.house.gov/media-center/press-releases/kuster-discusses-economic-development-during-visit-to-downtown"], "units": {}, "query_ms": 0.8886570576578379, "source": "dwillis/congress-press", "source_url": "https://github.com/dwillis/congress-press", "license": "MIT", "license_url": "https://github.com/dwillis/congress-press/blob/main/LICENSE"}
